Map skills test

I have mapped four news stories from 30th November edition of the Lancashire Evening Post.  I have used central stories including a norovirus outbreak, a story on UCLan accepting awards, a renovation of Preston city centre and a court case.  Each bubble includes a brief description of the story and a link to the online version.

I have used appropriate links to outside sources that relate to the stories.  I also matched the best supporting icons to differentiate between the stories.

Video skills test

In this video, marketing assistant Leanne Finch discusses whether popular television show, The X Factor is a fix.  The question is in speculation around the country recently in regards to the sudden exit of 16 year old Ella Henderson, a firm favourite to win the show.

This video is 33.96 seconds long, however, after uploading to YouTube it rounded up to 34 seconds.

Image skills test

I have taken a picture of a location within the UCLan campus for the Image skills test for the JN3800 module.  I am going to edit the image using Adobe Photoshop.  I am going to include the original photograph, that I have taken on my iPhone 4s, a 100 pixels by 100 pixels crop/ thumbnail, a crop at 400 pixels by 300 pixels and finally 200 pixels by 500 pixels.

The image above is the original photograph I have taken of Greenbank building.

The first crop I made of the image was 100 pixels by 100 pixels.
